[4], 200, [12] leaves. 26 cm. Mispagination. With a foreword by Rabbi Moshe Zacuto, the Remez. On the title page, the signature of Rabbi Avraham Hacohen.
Handwritten notations of numbers on the side of some of the indices leaves. faded stamp on the last leaf.
Rabbi Azaria Figo (Piccio) (1579-1647) one of the sages of Italy, a great Posek. Was born in Venice, where he studied Torah and acquired education at the local university, as was the practice of Italian Jewry. In his introduction to his work Gidulei Terumah, he wrote that ever since he became knowledgeable, he learned nothing but Gemore and its branches. Rabbi Azarya studied at the yeshiva of Rabbi Avraham Abohav. He served as rav of Pisa for twenty years and then as a Darshan in Venice. His book of sermons, Binah LeItim, had dozens of editions and was used by generations of Darshanim.
Rabbi Avraham Hacohen (passed away in 1681) a leading Dayan. A eulogy for him was introduced in the seventh Drush of the book Odeh LaHashe, (Venice, 1682) by Rabbi Daniel Gerasy.
Renewed binding. Stains. Moth holes, some of which were restored with tape to the edges of the leaves. Good condition.
