Rabbi Ephraim ben Rabbi Aharon Navon [1677-1735] – immigrated from Kushta to Jerusalem in 1700 and studied at the Neveh Sholom Yeshiva. Travelled to Kushta as a Shadar of the Kollelim of Jerusalem and was asked to remain there as Posek and Dayan of the Beis Din of Rabbi Yehuda Rosanis, author of Mishneh Lamelech. Authored several books, the most well-known of them being Machaneh Ephraim which was published after his passing.
