Letter in Hebrew and Yiddish sent by the holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet Av Beis Din of Retig, the grandson of the holy Rav the Mareh Yechezkel of Deyzh.
The letter contains greetings to his dear parents. The letter was written in 1913, 15 years after the passing of his holy father, thus referring to the second husband of his pious mother.
In the letter, he recalls that his friend Rabbi Moshe Menachem has informed him that he has been accepted as Shoches and Bodek of Onod.
The second half of the letter was written to his mother, the pious Rebbetzin, in Yiddish. On verso of the postcard, he asks about a Shiduch for the daughter of the philanthropist Rabbi Moshe Tishler of Klausenburg, describing the parties’ economic situation and their virtues.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet, Av Beis Din of Retiag [1875-1915] author of the Divrei Bezalel. A disciple of his uncle Rabbi Moshe of Deyzh, the Yitav Lev of Siget and Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald of Satmar. For almost twenty years, served as the Rav of the town, where he established a large yeshiva.
