Letter of blessings handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet of Deyzh, author of the Magalei Tzedek, expressing his gratitude for a donation to Kollel Ahavas Zion Zibenbergen. 1883. 

The letter is from late 1883 and in it, he writes: ‘רב שלום וכתיבה וחתימה טובה, על נכון הגיעני האנ…בשקלי הקודש מעות רמב"נ עשרה זהו’ אשר שיגרה בהם לכולל ושלשה למה’ יודא ברוך. הלא כה דברי הק’ מנחם מענדל פאנעט.

The holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet of Deyzh [1818-1885] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yechezkel Panet author of the Mareh Yechezkel. Rabbi Mendel was a close disciple of the Chasam Sofer who used to call him ‘Der Zeidener Bochur’. Rabbi Mendel was the only student of the Pressburg Yeshiva who used to wear Chassidic clothes. The disciples of the Chasam Sofer recalled that Rabbi Menachem Mendel was once present when Eliyahu Hanavi revealed himself to the Chasam Sofer. Served as Rav of Deyzh since 1858. Author of Magaeli Tzedek, Sharei Tzedek, Mishpat Tzedek and Avnei Tzedek.
