The only one in the world! ‘The Tzaddik of Shidlovtza is Keter Shem Tov in our generation’! Sha’arei Dura – Issur VeHeiter. Zusslav Press, Meiden, 1807. With an approbation by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. The personal, signed copy with the handwritten signature and dozens of stamps of the holy Rav Rabbi Nosson David of Shidlovtza, one of the greatest Tzaddikim of Poland and successorPershischa forefathers, and with an ownership notation by his and his son the holy Rav author of the Divrei Binah and founder of the Biala dynasty. 

On the title page and dozens of other places in the book, the stamp of the holy Rav מתן דוד בהרב ז"ל מפרשוסחא’. At the beginning of the work, a handwritten signature of Rabbi Nosson David of Pershischa: ‘נתן דוד מפרשוסחא’. On the flyleaf, a notation: שייך להרב דק"ק ביאלע – referring to the famed holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak of Biala, author of the Divrei Binah, who was named after his grandfather the holy Rav the Yehudi Hakadosh of Pershischa. 

To the best of our knowledge, in the whole world, there is only a single letter handwritten by Rabbi Nosson David pf Shidlovtza. This is a book with his handwritten signature – the only one in the world!

About this important and pedigreed edition of the book which was printed under the direction of the holy Rav of Berditchev and with his approbation: 

Sefer Sha’arei Dura known as Issur VeHeiter by Rabbeinu Yitzchak of Dura ben Rabbi Meir Halevi. The press of Eliezer ben Yaakov Rublinker and David ben Moshe, Zusslav, Meiden, [1807]. 

On the title page, the publishers write that to this edition, Hagahot HaMaharshal were added, which until now were printed separately, under the direction of the famed Gaon Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev who encouraged them to publish all the Chidushei Dinim and commentaries together: "והתעוררנו ע"י הגאון המפורסם מ"ו לוי יצחק אב"ד דק"ק בארדיטשוב כי טוב הוא לחבר אישה אל אחותה שיהא כל החידושי דינים והפרושים יחדיו ידובקו…".


The holy Rav Rabbi Nosson David of Shidlovtza [1814-1866] the grandson of the holy Rav the Yehudi hakadosh of Pershischa and father of most important Chassididc dynasties. The son of Rabbi Yerachmiel, the son of the Yehudi Hakadosh of Pershischa, a leading disciple of his father, the Saba Kadisha of Radoshitz and a friend of the Tiferes Shlomo of Radomsk. 

Was revered by contemporary Tzaddikim. The Chidushei HaRim of Ger said of him that he was a Keter Shem Tov in our generation. Followed, while leading the community, the Saraf of Moglanitza, the Sar Sholom of Belz, Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin and the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. 

His succeeding son, the famed Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Biala [1847-1905] author of the Divrei Binah, succeeded his in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova. Had thousands of Chassidim and even the Sefas Emes of Ger sent him a Kvitel and the holy Rav of Neshchiz spoke about the power of his blessing.
