Letter in Yiddish handwritten and signed by the holy Admor the Birkas Avraham of Slonim – to his wife the Rebbetzin – from the time he was Staying in Baranovich during the 1930s.

This letter was written, apparently, in Cheshvan or Kislev 1933, during the long stay of the Birkas Avraham in Baranovich (from Iyar 1933 to Adar 1934). The letter was written close to the October 1933 Riots.

The holy Admor Rabbi Avraham Weinberg (the Third) of Slonim, author of the Birkat Avraham [1888-1981], the nephew and leading disciple of the Admor the Maharash of Slonim and of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Kliers, author of Torat HaAretz. In his youth, travelled several times to the Tzaddikim of Slonim. One of these trips was immediately after the passing of the Beis Avraham of Slonim and this letter was apparently written during that trip, in early winter of 1933-4. In 1955, he was crowned the Admor of Slonim. Most of his life, he lived in Tiberius. In ca. 1960. he moved to Jerusalem. Was a member of Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisroel. His Sichot and lessons were published in the series of books Birkat Avraham and Nachal Eitan.
