Wonderful letter handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshil of Slonim – Tel Aviv to his brother-in-law the holy Rav Maran the Beis Yisroel of Ger, before Passover 1949.
The Rebbe of Slonim Tel Aviv expresses his deep gratitude to his brother-in-law, who is taking care of their material wellbeing, sending a package of Matza Shmurah and a bottle of wine and asking that he pray for his spiritual wellbeing as well, adding ‘ונזכה לבער ולבטל את כל החמץ נוקשה שלא ישראל משהו והנזהר במשהו מובטח שלא יחטא כל השנה’. The Rebbe refers to his two sons in his letter.
The holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshil Weinberg of Slonim Tel Aviv, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yissachar Leib the son of the Divrei Shmuel. Was the son-in-law of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi David Weidenfeld of Lodz and eventually, the Beis Yisroel also married, in his second marriage, the daughter of Rabbi David. His succeeding sons were Rabbi Shmuel Weinberg, the mayor of Bnei Berak, and Rabbi Aryeh Weinberg, the Rosh Yeshiva of Lev banim.
