Letters sent by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky Gaon Av Beis Din of Jerusalem to his family in early years.
The letters, which are not dated and incomplete, are in Yiddish written with Hebrew letters and were addressed to his close family.
In one of the letters he asks how the Teki’ot with the new Ba’al Toke’ah were: ‘Dem Nein Baal Teki’ah’ and wishes them to be happy and joyful, writing in a close and loving manner.
An additional letter contains only 4 lines. The context and content are unclear.
Maran signed his name on one of the letter, his script indicating it was written in his youth.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky [1867-1949] the Rav of Chust and Galanta and eventually of Jerusalem, leader of HaEidah HaChareidit And Agudas Yisroel of Jerusalem. Established a yeshiva with hundreds of students in Galanta, Chust and Jerusalem, Beis Yosef Zvi.
