Handwritten letter signed by the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn and his son-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov of Bohush – the author of Ohalei Yaakov of Husiatyn. Tel Aviv, 1939.
In the letter, they bless the great Gaon Rabbi Benzion Meir Chai Uziel, the Rav of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, who was appointed the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisroel after the passing of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Meir.
The letter was handwritten and signed by the holy Rav the Ohalei Yaakov of Husiatyn and was then signed, on its verso, by the holy Rav Maran Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn [1858-1948] the eldest of the Tzaddikim of his generation, revered by thousands, who to this day utter his name with awe. A spiritual pillar for the Jewish Nation, who was called by the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Belz ‘Tzaddik Yessod Olam’ and ‘HaRabbi’. The intensity of his prayers and Avodas Hashem was legendary when the Nazis under General Rommel’s command approached Eretz Yisroel during the El Alamein battles.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov of Husiatyn [1877-1957], the Ohalei Yaakov, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak of Bohush and the successor of his in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn. Was one of the leading supporters of immigrating to Zion al Taharas Hakodesh and established a society to do so.
