The work Tshuva Miyirah handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz Teomim, the Aderet. [37] large pages. Ponovezh, [1872].  

This work is the beginning of a letter written by the Aderet to his brother, rabbi Hirsch Leib Teomim Av Beis Dinb of Rogali. This letter appears as a response in his book Shut Ohalei David and was printed at the beginning of the book Tshuvah Miyirah, Jerusalem, [1906]. pp. 1-16, with some variations. The letter itself contains innovations and comments on Halahcot about which the Rambam used the expression  ‘יראה לי’.

 

The renowned Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz – the Aderet (1843-1905), one of the Geonim of his generation. The Rav of the Ponovezh and Mir communities of Lithuania and at the end of his days, the Rav of Jerusalem. Authored many works, some of them pioneering in their field (such as Zecher LaMikdash about Mitzvat Hakhel which he published anonymously in his lifetime yet added his own approbation to it…). His famed son-in-law was the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook.
