Tzena Urena, I, with Nofet Tzufim. Vilna, [1899]. The personal copy of the daughter-in-law of Rabbi Yisroel of Salant. Enclosed with the item are several leaves from the Vilna 1877 edition of Tzena Urena.

[1], 277, [3] leaves. 23 cm. On the flyleaf, an ownership notation indicating the book had belonged to Sirke, the wife of rabbi Yitzchak Lipkin Salanter. On the title page, she wrote that her famed husband passed away in 1903 in Jerusalem.
Mrs. Sarah Rivka (Sirke) Lipkin, the daughter of Rabbi Yechiel Michl Lipkin was the wife of her cousin, Rabbi Yitzchak Lipkin Salanter, author of Sefer Luchot Avanim, the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Salanter.
Semi-leather binding. Stains. Taping to the edges of the first leaves. Some moth holes and taping. Good condition.
