He who shows mercy, Heaven will show him mercy! Rare letter on charity matters handwritten and signed by Maran the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Halberstam and with him: the Steipler, author of Kehilot Yaakov, Maran the Sheves Halevi, the Rbee of Stropkov and Rabbi Ephraim Fischel Sofer of Papa. 1973.
The rare letter, in the fine script of Maran the author of the Divrei Moshe with his signature and stamp noting the year ‘ובעין יפה השקיפה’ – 1973 – for one of the excellent Bnei Torah of Jerusalem.
‘כדאי מצווה זו שתגן על כל המסייעים, להתברך בכל משאלות לבבם הטהור לטובה ולברכה ברוחניות ובגשמיות’. (May this Mitzvah protect all those who help, to be blessed with all the heart’s desires and spiritual and material blessing).
To the letter, the holy Rav Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga Lifshitz Halberstam of Stropkov added several lines handwritten and signed by him.
The Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Fichel Sofer of Tmishvor, the Rosh Yeshiva of Papa also added his script and handwritten signature.
In a rare manner, several lines by Maran the Kehilot Yaakov, who writes: בעזה"י, גם אני אבקש מיקירי אחב"י [=אחינו בני ישראל] להשתתף במצות והחזקת בו לת"ח יקר וכל המרחם ירוחם משמים. הכו"ח לכבוד התורה ולומדי’ – יעקב ישראל קניבסקי. (I too ask my beloved brothers to take part in the Mitzvah of supporting the dear Talmid Chacham and he who shows mercy, Heaven will show him mercy… Yaakov Yisroel Kanievsky) and his personal stamp.
The leaf is also signed by Maran the author of Shevet Halevi, the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Wosner – who added the same blessing as the Steipler – וכל המרחם, ירחמו עליו מהשם יתברך and his handwritten signature.
