References and ideas for a sermon of the holy Rav the author of the Yeshu’ot Moshe of Vizhnitz, handwritten by him.

The sermon was delivered by him during a visit to the Crown Heights neighborhood. At its top, the holy Rav the Yeshu’os Moshe wrote ‘Pilpul Bidrush’ and then erased the title and replaced it with ‘Pilpul Bedavar Sheyesh lo Metirin’, illuding to varied voices heard by the residents, especially regarding the education of boys and girls.

The educational doctrine of Maran the holy Rav the Yeshu’ot Moshe of Vizhnitz focused on the education of girls, which is what he details in this sermon.

The Rav also pleads with them to support the Shikun Vizhnitz, where the next generation is being educated, and to help pure Avrechim who are getting married.

The Rav writes: ‘אין הולכין בפיקוח נפש אחר הרוב’ implying that on religious matters, one should not follow the spirit of the world and the public. He also adds a touching sentence: ‘הנשמות ניתנות בקרימוטוריום חלילה וחס. והגוף קיים’.

The leaf ends with his handwritten blessing: ‘ונזכה במהרה לביאת גואל צדק אמן כן יהי רצון’.

[1] large lined leaf handwritten entirely by him. Tears along the fold lines. Original erasures and minor corrections. Good condition.
