Autograph signed by the holy Gaon Rabbi Amram Blum, the author of Beit She’arim, Av Beis Din of Chust, from his youth as Rav of Mad.
The responsum was sent to his beloved friend the holy Gaon Rabbi David Yuda Av Beis Din of Kerestir in 1870, in his early years as Rav of Mad.
The letter deals with the question of whether a mourner is permitted to go to work and what is the law of the market itself and the walk through it.
2 pages, dozens of lines, handwritten and signed by him. After the signature, he introduces what he had seen in Shut Chatam Sofer.
In his modesty, he writes that he has not reached a decision and wrote only for the sake of Pilpul and for his love of the person who asked.
The great Gaon Rabbi Amram Blum author of the Beit She’arim [1834-1907] one of the leading rabbis of Hungary and a leading Meshiv. The Rav of Mad since 1862. After the passing of the Maharam Schick, he succeeded him as Rav of Chust.
