This manuscript (57 large pages) contains innovations and Marachot of the varied Sugyot of the Shas. Most of it is Halachic innovations and some of it, Aggadic innovations.
In the manuscript, the writer frequently introduces the words of his Rav, the author of the Ketav Sofer, and uses expressions such as: "אמו"ר הגאון זצק"ל בכ"ס כתב לפרש". The manuscript also indicates that he was a disciple of the Gaon the Mahari Assad: "ראיתי קושיה בספר חתן סופר בשם אמו"ר הגאון מהרי"א".
In addition, he refers to the Geonim, Rabbi David Deutsch: "ואמרתי בזה ישוב נכון על קושית הגאון והקדוש מהו"ר דוד דייטש זצ"ל דמקשה" and Rabbi Nosson Adler: "מה שהקשה הגאון ש"א [שאגת אריה] להגאון ר’ נתן אדלר זצק"ל".
