Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld [1848-1932] a leading disciple of the Ketav Sofer of Pressburg and Rabbi Avraham Shag. The Rav and leader of Jerusalem, Mara DeAra DeYisroel and a great Gaon. Immigrated to Jerusalem and became a close friend of Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin, eventually succeeding him as the leader of Chareidi Jewry in Eretz Yisroel and as the president of the Diskin orphanage. Was the head of Kollel Shomrei HaChomos and the chief Gabai of the Chevra Kaddisha Haklali of Jerusalem.
