Handwritten signature of the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet of Deyzh, author of the Magalei Tzeddek – in a Foreign Language on a municipal document. ,
The document is from 1882. On it, the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet of Deyzh signed and added his stamp: MENDEL PANETH OBERRABINER DEES’.
The holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet of Deyzh [1818-1885] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yechezkel Panet of Deyzh, author of the Mareh Yechezkel. Rabbi Mendel was a disciple of the Chasam Sofer and Maran the Yismach Moshe. After succeeding his father, he continued travelling to Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigure and the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.
[1] non-lined leaf. With his handwritten signature and stamp. Considerable tears due to wear to the upper edge of the document. Fold lines and additional wear. With a postage stamp. Fair-good condition.
