Sefer Chidushei Maharam Chalava, Jerusalem 1873 first edition. Copy signed by Maran the Chofetz Chaim ‘HaRav Yisroel Meir Hacohen of Radin’.
The Chofetz Chaim refers to the book and the Psakim of the Maharam Chalava dozens of times in his works.
The book is originally bound with Shut Mahar Bruna.
On the title page, the handwritten signature of Maran the Gaon Rabbeiu Yisroel Mewir Radin, ‘HaRav Yisroel Meir Hacohen’ with a pencil addition of ‘of Radin’. Additional ownership notations by him on the flyleaf.
Based on these notations, the Chofezt Chaim received the book in 1904 and owned it for almost three decades.
The book Maharam Chalava on Masechet Pesachim was constantly studied by Maran the Chofetz Chaim. It is referred to dozens of times in his book Mishnah Berurah, which was published in those years.
