Shut Beit Yosef by Rabbi Yosef Karo. The press of Raphael Chaim Harofeh of Italy, Mantova, [1730]. Second and rare edition. With the signatures of the rabbis of the Pinto family of Syria. 

[1], 67 leaves. After the Salonika, 1598 edition. In the foreword it was written that due to the expenses of printing the book, they managed to print only 500 copies. With stamps of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Herman of Bradienka. With an ownership notation and owner’s signature including [3] signatures of "the young Yitzchak Elkavetz". In the corner f the title page, an ownership notation from the yeshiva of Rabbi Shmuel Pinto and on the side of the title page, an ownership notation and signature of Rabbi Yosef Pinto. On the following leaf, an additional signature of a family member. 

Rabbi Avraham Yehuda ben Rabbi Pinchas Herman (born in 1858) – received his Hora’ah Semicha by the Admor Rabbi Mordechai Dov Twersky of Horonsteipel and since 1885 served as Av Beis Din of Bradienka [Kiev district]. See Otzar Harabbanim 1103. 

Simple binding [taken from the book Shut Rabbi Yosef Kolon]. Taping to the edges of the first two leaves and the last leaf. Stains. Moth holes. Blemished corners of some leaves. Fair-good condition.
