Letter with a prayer for the Jews of Iran, written in 2000 and signed by leading contemporary rabbis and Poskim.

The letter is titled ‘פסק הדין הגיע’ (the verdict has been reached) and it calls the public to say Psalms on Sabbath Parashat Korach.

The signatories are the great Gaon author of the Shevet Halevi, the Gaon Rabbi Michl Yehuda Lefkovich the Rosh Yeshiva of Ponovezh for youth, the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman author of Ayelet Hashachar, the Gaon Rabbi Nissim Karlitz author of Chut Hashani and the Gaon Rabbi Shimin Badani head of Kollel Torah VeChaim.

Gedolei Hador call and ask the public to pray for the prisoners in Iran who were accused of espionage and might be hanged.

The leaf was written by a scribe and hand-signed by Gedolei Hador.

Two years later, the accused Jews were released.

It is interesting to note that the letter was written on the blank side of a publication in Russian about voting for the Yahadut HaTorah party.

[1] leaf handwritten by a scribe and signed by Gedolei Hador on 3 attached copies. Very good condition.
