Autograph handwritten by the Rav of Sochatchov, author of Shem Mishmuel, Chassidic Torah innovations by his father the Gaon Rabbi Avraham of Sochatchov, author of Avnei Nezer. Not dated. ca. 1920. With several Mamrim that were not published.
Chassidic Torah innovations and deep Mamrim from Ot עט to Ot פג.
His son, the Admor Rabbi Chanoch Henich Bornstein had this manuscript and he copied most of its Mamarim, writing on his copying: "Imrot Tehorot by Raban shel Bnei Hagolah Sar HaTorah… Rabbeinu Avraham of Sochatchov – copied from the notebooks that were edited by my father the Gaon from manuscripts from the author’s estate". Rabbi Chanoch’s copying was done before his brother, Rabbi Aharon Yisroel Bornstein, editor of the book Neot Deshe (Tel Aviv, 1974-1978), who integrated most of it into the book. Several passages, however, were not published and there are lingual variations in those that were, apparently made by the above editor.
Please refer to Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the Gaon the Shem Mishmuel of Sochatchov.
