Letter on charity handwritten and signed by the Imrei Emes of Ger, and with the signature of his brother Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter, sent to the Naggid Chassid Rabbi Mordechai Aratin.

Joint letters by the Tzaddikim, the Imrei Emes and his brother Rabbi Moshe Bezalel, whom the Imrei Emes intended to appoint as his successor, are extremely rare.

The letter is dated אור ה’ ויקהל without the year and begins with the words: ידידי היקר הגביר החסיד מ’ מרדכי אראטען נ"י. לפלא שלא שלח לנו כפי המדובר נא לשלוח בהקדם.

Maran the Imrei Emes signs: ידידו אברהם מרדכי אלטער

Beneath his signature, his close brother, the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter of ger, who perished in the Holocaust, signed his name.

The Chassid Naggid Rabbi Mordechai Aratin was a son-in-law of the Prives family. His brother was Rabbi Yisroel Aratin, the author of Sifrei Emet VeEmunah and additional books on the Kock Chassidut and the Torah.

[1] small lined leaf. Handwritten and signed by Maran the Rav of Ger and with the signature of his brother Rabbi Moshe Bezalel. Minor stains. Very good condition.
