Handwritten volume, Sefer Eshel Avraham, Likutim and Drushim on varied matters, handwritten by the author, the wonderous Mekubal Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Friedman (Ish Sholom) of Plock – London, 1896 – not published.
The volime contains Likutim and elucidations on many varied subjects.
On the last leaf of the volume, the author ends with a touching prayer for his offspring, writing that he has nothing to leave them except his handwritten writings: "שכתבתי זאת בדמעות עינים ובשברון לבב שתאזין לתפלתי ולבקשתי, רק זאת הנחתי שארית לנחלה ללומדי תורה. והעוסקים בתורה לשמה ימצאו בהם מעדנים מפרי עץ החיים של תורה ועבודה ויראת שמים… ".
This work was titled Eshel Avraham after his father Rabbi Avraham Chaim.
We do not have much information about the author, only what he told about himself at length in the introduction to section I and II of his book Emet LeYaakov (handwritten, see previous item). According to the introduction, he was an orphan born in Plock, Poland, who escaped in the 1830s so as not to be recruited to the Russian army. He travelled from place to place until he reached London. The content of the work indicates he was a wise Gavra Rava, possibly a Tzaddik Nistar.
