Letter handwritten by Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman of Bohush (the second) for the support of a widow. Late 1950s.
The letter was sent to the deputy mayor of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Avraham Boyer, an important Husiatyn and Chortkov Chassid who was close to the Rav of Bohush and other Admorim of Ruzhin and was one of the leaders of Hapoel Hamizrachi of Tel Aviv.
In his letter, the Rav writes: ‘הנני לחלות פניו עבור האשה מרומני’, שהיא אלמנה וחסרה פרנסה ובקשה שתוכל לעמוד ברחוב… (I plead for a woman from Romania, who is a penniless widow…)
The Rav apologizes for bothering his loyal Chassid and blesses him with ‘כל טוב סלה’, adding his handwritten signature: ‘הרב יצחק פרידמן’.
[1] official stationery of the synagogue of Bohush Shpikov Chassidim on Wolfson st.
From the first time the Rebbe lived in Israel. Varied notations. Filing perforations. Very good condition.
