This is a special complete, lengthy work on Hilchot Shechitah, Bedikot and Treifot, handwritten by the Shochet and Bodek of Lipkan, about whom the Pachad Yitzchak of Boyan said: "
שו"ב מומחה ומצוין באומנות ויתרון הכשר" (an expert and excellent Shochet and Bodek…)
This work was never published!
The work is titled Ein HaRo’eh and it compiles Leshonot of leading Poskim (its editing similar to that of the Levush and Shulchan Aruch Harav) alongside references titled Sha’arei Zion. On its margins, short comments titled Da’at Zekenim. Often, expands at length with an elucidation titled Minchat Yehuda.
Written at the beginning of the volume: "זה הספר שייך להרבני המופלג בתו"י מוה"ר יהודא ליב שו"ב מליפקאהן" (This book belongs to the rabbinic…Rabbi Yehuda Leib Shochet and Bodek of Lipkan). His name is mentioned several times also in the back flyleaves and in letters to and from him that appear inside the book.
Bound at the end of the volume are leaves with Shut on varied matters. One of them is dated "א’ מטות תרנ"ד". At the end of the volume there are glosses, corrections and comments on Sefer Tikunei Hazevach – elucidations on Sefer Simlah Chadasha by the Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya, Shochet of Ades, which was printed in Ades in 1883.
