Lengthy letter with two Halachic responses by Maran the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Eiger, sent to his sister Mrs. Gittel and her husband the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Kornfeld. Posen, 1851.
Lengthy letter with important Piskei Halacha sent to the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Kornfeld and the Rebbetzin, Mrs. Gittel, the daughter of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. Two leaves with corrections and additions handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Eiger.
The letter was published, without the opening lines and without the name of Rabbi Shlomo Eiger’s sister, in his writings and due to its importance and length was divided into two separate Simanim: Siman 41 and Siman 42.
On the letter, which was copied, many glosses, additions and corrections of complete lines handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shlomo Eiger.
The Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Eiger [1777-1852] the son and successor of his great father the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger. The Rav of Posen and Kalisch. His books Shut Rabbi Shlomo Eiger, Sefer HaIkarim and Gilayon Maharsha are inalienable assets.
Stains. Slight wear to edges, not affecting the text. Good-very good condition.
