Leaf with Torah Innovations on Masechet Nedarim handwritten by Maran the Gaon the Maharam Schick, introducing innovations by his Rav the Chasam Sofer. Written on both sides.
The innovations that were copied by the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Shick, the Maharam Shich, are innovations by his Rav the Chasam Sofer on Sugyot of Masechet Nedarim and they were copied by him lovingly, to be studied by him or in preparing them for printing.
These innovations appear in Chidushei Chatam Sofer on Masechet Nedarim.
The Gaon Rabbeinu Moshe Schick, the Maharam Schick [1807-1879] the greatest disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer. The Rav of Chust and Rosh Yeshiva of its large yeshiva. His Rav, the Chasam Sofer, said of him that he was ‘Mainer Seforim Shafeh’ [My bookcase]. His Pesakim were accepted admiringly in Austro-Hungary and then in the entire Jewish world. In addition, he was the indisputable leader of Hungary Jewry of his generation. Authored renowned innovations on the Shas and Shut.
