Important letter by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld author of the Chasan Sofer, to his in-law, the Rebbetzin, the widow of the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Menachem Esh. Yiddish. 1880.
In his letter, the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld of Mattersdorf, the son of the daughter of Maran the Chasam Sofer, explains the behavior of her son, his son-in-law, who rarely travels to see her. He denies being the one preventing her son from visiting her, G-d forbid.
The letter ends with warm and cordial blessings: בברכה מרובה ברכת חיים שלום ובריאות וחיזוק הגוף, דברי מחותנה דורש שלומה וכל בני ביתה ה’ יברכם יחיים וישמחם.
