Mekor Chaim. Kabbalah. Authored by the Gaon Kabbalist Rabbi Shmuel Vital, the son of the Divine Kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Vital. First edition. Livorno, 1771-1792. Extremely rare.

On the title page, the Hebrew year is  "קויתי ה’", that is, 1771. Actually, the book was printed in 1792 (the Hebrew letter ה representing G-d’s full name and its Gematria therefore being 26), since the press of Rabbi Yaakov Nunis Vais and Raphael Mildola stopped its operation in ca. 1790.

This edition is the rarest one of the book that combines Kabbalah, Halacha and customs, by the Divine Kabbalist Rabbi Shmuel Vital, the son and successor of Rabbi Chaim Vital.

On the title page, an ownership notation of ‘Chaim Chalfon’, which was a common name among the family of rabbis in Libya and there was also a branch of the family in Tripoli and later in Livorno.
