Discovery! Machzor for all year round, Ashkenaz custom with Chamesh Megillot. The press of Yisroel ben Rabbi Moshe [Hally] [Offenbach], [1732]. Unknown and extremely rare edition.
311 leaves. 13 cm. Several leaves are missing from the end of the volume. With wood-engraved illustrations of the symbols of the Zodiac.
Yiddish and foreign notation on the flyleaf.
This book is not in Israeli libraries and does not appear in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book.
Two years later, the same printed published another Machzor titled "מחזור מכל השנה כמנהג אשכנז ופולין, פיהם ומעהררין ושאר מדינות" (Machzor for all year round, the custom of Ashkenaz, Poland, Pihem, Mehrrin and other countries).
Leather binding. Stains. Open tear and taping to the last leaf. Several missing leaves. Loose binding. Folds to some corners. Fair condition.
