Noam Elimelech, one of the prominent basic books of Chassidut by Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. New York 1942 Edition. A pedigreed and important edition with the written approbation and blessing of the Rebbe the Rayatz of Lubavitch.
On the inner leaf, the rare and important approbation of the Rebbe Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson of Lubavitch – the Rebbe Rayatz, who writes: כי בוודאי דבר נעלה הוא במאוד ובטח ירבו הקונים למשמרת הצלחה (surely it is a fine thing and many will purchase for protection and success).
The Lubavitcher Chassidim perceive the Rebbe’s words as an order and blessing and this edition is considered most important and pedigreed since it is the only edition about which the Rebbe the Rayatz wrote such words.
On the second leaf, an important bibliographic list of most of the editions of the Noam Elimelech until then, starting with the first edition – Lviv 1788 and ending with the 1942 edition, during the world war.
