A gloss handwritten by the Kabbalist Rabbi Gershon of Kitov, Rabbi Gershon Kitover, the brother-in-law and disciple of the Baal Shem Tov and the Rashash, one of the first Chassidic immigrants to Eretz Yisroel.
The gloss appears on an early manuscript, a Kabbalistic Drush, which is a copying of passaged from Sha’ar Hakavanot Torat HaAri written by his disciple Rabbi Chaim Vital. Chatzi Kolmus script – typical rabbinic Sephardic script.
6 lines handwritten by him. An extremely rare gloss handwritten by him, in Ashkeaniz script, unlike other glosses by Rabbi Gershon of Kitov that were written in Chatzi Kolmus script – Sephardic script.
Minor professional restoration for fillling-in moth perforations. Aging stain on the margin. Places in a leather binding. Good-very good condition.
