Postcard letter with Divrei Torah by the Gaon Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer – Eisenstadt, 1881.
The postcard was sent to his friend and disciple Rabbi Aryeh of Goldgara and contains varied matters and Chidushei Aggadah.
The famed Gaon Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer [1820-1899] leader of Orthodox Jewry in Ashkenaz. A leading disciple of the Aruch Laner. Since 1851, the Rav of Eisenstadt and eventually, Av Beis Din of Berlin, where he also established the famed Beis Midrash for rabbis. Was famed for his activity for the Torah, Judaism, the Jews of Germany and the Russian refugees.
