Letter for the Talmud Torah (Bet Talmud) of Kelm (Kelme), Lithuania, handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Reuven Dov Dessler, to the Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Leib Fokter of Amsterdam, 1929. 

The letter was sent during the 1929 Palestine Riots (Pra’ot Tarpat) with a request to support the yeshiva, referring to Rabbi Moshe Avigdor Amiel as a supporter. 

Rabbi Dessler pleads and blesses Bechol Milei Demeitav anyone who helps the Yeshiva. 

The Gaon Rabbi Reuven Dessler, one of Chachmei Hamussar [1863-1931] manager of the Talmud Torah of Kelm and Ma’atik Hashmu’ah of the educational doctrine of Kelme. His son was the famed Mashgiach, the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Elazar Dessler author of Michtav MeEliyahu. 

[1] rare official stationery of the yeshiva. Handwritten and signed with the initials of Rabbi Dessler’s first name. The stamp of the yeshiva. Fold lines. Small tears and wear along the fold lines. Good condition.
