Postcard letter with Chidushei Torah and matters of the moment handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg, author of the Seridei Esh and the Rosh Yeshiva of Montreux, Switzerland. 1953.

The letter was sent to the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Ilan, the son-in-law of Rabbi Y. Arieli, the Rosh Yeshiva of Tifrach. In the letter, the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg recalls that he sent his new book to the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Ilan and expects Rabbi Mordechai to send him to Switzerland his new books. The letter is signed by the Seridei Esh.

In the second and central part of the letter, which is written on a postcard, the Seridei Esh discusses and settles an apparent contradiction in the Rambam’s words about the measurement of the Altar.
