Historical printed invitation to the groundbreaking celebration of the Slabodka Yeshiva. 1947.
On the invitation, a fine illustration of the building that was going to be built, Merkaz HaTorah Slabodka Yeshivat Slabodka and Kollel Kovna Beis Yisroel, both in Bnei Berak.
The celebration took place on Zot Chanukkah 1947 in the presence of the Maran the Chazon Ish.
The invitation is signed by the Rosh Yeshiva and its founder, the Gaon Rabbi Isaac Sher.
Written on the margins of the invitation, ‘by the second bus station in Bnei Berak, a taxi will wait to take the guests to the location of the building’.
