Letter by a disciple to the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein the Rosh Yeshiva of Knesset Yisroel Slabodka – Hebron
Letter by one of the leading disciples of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein, the Rosh Yehsiav of Knesset Yisroel-Slabodka.
The disciple’s name is Rabbi Elchonon [Yakobovitz? Reb Chanan Greever?]. Novhardok, "ב’ ויקהל". Written before 1925. Most of the letter deals with the Sugya of "מצוה הבאה בעבירה". In his letter, he uses superlatives to describe his Rav, like a Chassid writing to his Rav. Throughout the letter, the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein is called "Maran Shlita".
