Among other things, Rav Elyashiv writes passionately about the exaltation of the day, about the greatness of the shofar and the meaning of the verse “And a great shofar will be blown”. Rav Elyashiv explains the significance of the greatness of that day, that the Day of Remembrance is a law only for Am Yisrael, yet the fate of all lands depends on this day.
