Sefer "Darchei Tzedek" by the holy Rabbi Zechariah Mendel of Yaroslav – (on title page) Levov 1796 – (first edition?)
The author, Rabbi Zechariah Mendel of Yaroslav (1720? – 1795?) was a disciple of the greatest Talmidim of the Ba’al Shem Tov and the Maggid: The holy Maggid of Zlotchov, his uncle the Rebbe, Rabbi Shmelke of Nickelsburg and the holy ‘Noam Elimelech’. Rabbi Zechariah Mendel is the one who published the Sefer ‘Noam Elimelech’ (together with Rabbi Elazar of Lizhensk, the author’s son).
The Sefer before us was written in the life of his Rebbe, the holy Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, who is mentioned in the Sefer with the blessing of "Nero Yair".
In the holy Sefer ‘Ahavat Shalom’ by the holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kossov (in Parshat Ki Tisa) he calls the author
“The holy man of Israel and its glory, a G-dly man, the holy light”.
