Rare collection of wedding invitations of contemporary Admorim, descendants of the previous generation’s Tzaddikim.
The collection contains:
• Marriage of Rabbi Aryeh Weinberg, son of the Slonim Tel-Aviv Rebbe, Admor Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Weinberg of Slonim, with the daughter of Rabbi Hillel Silberman, Principal of the Seminary in Jerusalem and among the heads of Beis Yaakov. 1954.
• Marriage of the current Admor of Strikov, Shlit”a, Rabbi David Brander, with the bride Miss Miryam Rivkah, daughter of the Strikover Rebbe, Rabbi Avraham Avigdor Nochum Landau. Tel-Aviv 1975. Invitation from the bride’s father.
• Invitation to the wedding of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Hager, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Meir, Rabbi of Stanowitz, scion of the Zlotchov, Kossov, and Sassov lineages, with the bride Miss Hindel Eidel Laiyer, daughter of Rabbi Dov Berish, son of the Rebbe of Lublin, author of ‘Toras Chesed.’ Both the groom and the bride were orphaned of their fathers. Jerusalem 1927.
• Invitation to the wedding of the groom, Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak, son of Rabbi Yoel of Shotz-Montreal, with the bride Toba, daughter of Rabbi Efrayim Rubin, granddaughter of Rabbi Feivel Zak. Representing the bride is Rabbi Meir Magid, from the leaders and exalted members of the Vizhnitz community. 1960.
• Invitation on official aerogramme letterhead of the holy Rebbe of Chernobyl, Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zusia Twersky, for the marriage of his son, Rabbi Yeshaya, Chernobyl Rebbe in the US, with the daughter of Rabbi Shalom Michaelowitz of Brod. Bnei Berak, 1965.
• The happy occasion of the marriage of Miss Yuta, the daughter of Rabbi Eliezer Zusia, Admor of Skolen, and the groom Master Shmuel Aharon. Representing the groom is Rabbi Simcha Binem Tzin, and from the bride’s side is her father the Skolener Rebbe. Shamloya, post WWII, no exact date. (based on the information on the invitation, the probable date is Nov. 26, 1946).
• Invitation to the wedding of Miss Rechil, daughter of the Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov, Admor of Tchakawa and the Rebbetzin, with the groom Rabbi Shalom Eizikowitz of Sighet. Elul 1948, Jerusalem.
• Invitation to the marriage of Rabbi Yisrael, son of Admor Rabbi Aviezri Zelig of Guarditz, and the Rebbetzin Mrs. Blima Reizel, daughter of the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel of Drubitch, with the bride Miss Malka Chaya, daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef HaKohen Tartner of Warsaw. Adar 1941, Jerusalem.
