Birat Migdal Oz. Section III of Siddur Rabbi Yaakov Emden, Lemberg 1865. Personal copy with the handwritten signature of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Sofer, the son of Marana the author of the Machaneh Chaim, who gave the book as a gift to Rabbi Meir Yissachar Ber Rosner, the father of the Gaon of Sekelhid.
On the flyleaf, an ownership notation of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Sofer Rosh Av Beis Din of Pest who gave it as a gift for the marriage of the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Meir Yissachar Ber Segal Rosner, the father of Maran of Sekelhid.
Rabbi Meir Yissachat wrote his name in several places in the book, noting that he received it from the son of his teacher and Rav the Gaon author of the Machaneh Chaim, the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Sofer.
On the title page, the stamp of the son, the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner of Sekelhid.
The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Sholom Sofer [1856-1921] Rosh Av Beis Din of Pest for more than thirty years and one of the leading rabbis of Hungary, the son of the Gaon the author of the Machaneh Chaim. Studied with the Mahram Schick and Marana the Ketav Sofer. Authored the book Torat Chaim on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim.
The Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner (1884-1944) – Av Beis Din of Sekelhid, one of the contemporary leading rabbis and Rashei Yeshivos. A disciple of the Shevet Sofer and Arugas Habosem and the son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Jungreis. Perished in Auschwitz with his only son, Rabbi Shmuel Chaim. His famed disciples were the Admor of Toldos Aharon, the Admor of Vizhnitz Monsey and the Mekubal Rabbi Yehuda Zeev Leibowitz.
