Ahavas Torah! A leaf with Torah innovations handwritten by the great Gaon, the Maharam Schick, introducing the innovations of his Rav, Maran the Chasam Sofer. Written on both sides.
Regarding some of the Torah innovations, he writes: ‘הועתק מתשובת אדמ"ו הגאון נ"י’ (copied from the Responsum of the Gaon Admor) – in the lifetime of Maran the Chasam Sofer.
The Divrei Torah are from Chidushei Maran Chasam Sofer – the Maharam Schick’s Rav, on Sugyot of Masechet Kiddushin. He copied them lovingly and then discusses them.
The great Gaon Rabbeinu Moshe Schick, the Maharam Schick [1807-1879] the greatest disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer. The Rav of Chust and Rosh Yeshiva of its large yeshiva. His Rav, the Chasam Sofer, said of him that he was ‘Mainer Seforim Shafeh’ [My bookcase]. His Pesakim were accepted admiringly in Austro-Hungary and then in the entire Jewish world. In addition, he was the indisputable leader of Hungary Jewry of his generation. Authored renowned innovations on the Shas and Shut.
