Handwritten postcard from Rabbi Yaakov Halevi Haberfeld, Av Beis Din of Pupa HY”D – sent to Rabbi Shmuel Efrayim Tiktin, requesting return of a borrowed Sefer.


The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Halevi Haberfeld HY”D (murdered July 5, 1944), a disciple of the Geonim Maharitz Dushinsky and the “Da’as Sofer”. Served as Rabbi in Vienna from 1926, and from 1932 succeeded his father-in-law as Av Beis Din of Pupa.
