Wonderous letter in the holy handwriting of the holy Mekubal and miracle worker, Rabbi Yechezkiya Fisch of Hodes- Mátészalka HY”D – where he expounds on some of his customs which were “phenomenal to the eyes of people” – with blessings for abundant sustenance and that “you should be acquitted above and below” – Mátészalka, late 1930’s.
Unique postcard printed with a blessing and the signature of the holy Rebbe of Mátészalka.
Official letterhead postcard printed with the name of the Rebbe on the front: “Yechezkiya Fisch, son of my father and teacher the holy Gaon OBM Av Beis Din of Hodes, here Mátészalka”. On the front is a pre-printed form with blessings.
The postcard was sent to two of his disciples who resided in Budapest.
On the reverse side is a lengthy letter in his holy handwriting. At the beginning he writes: “I have done things that are wonderous in the eyes of people so as to preserve my health… for I am, as much as possible, separate from people, even during prayers I pray alone because my nerves cannot handle any noise and confusion, and if I push myself to bear it then I feel as though a part of my mind is missing and my head hurts me terribly…”
Further on he mentions briefly his planned journey to the river Sambatyon: “And regarding the path and the names and places to the Sambatyon, why should I spell it all out to you… first see to finalize this path by marking it on a map and then we shall go…”
