Long letter, signed by Maran, the great Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Menachem Man Shach – Rosh Yeshiva of Ponhevich and father of the Lithuanian Yeshivos – on behalf of an outreach organization and the importance of it. 1981.


In this letter, sent to the ‘Moreshet Avot’ organization in Bnei Brak, Maran Rav Shach writes: “and what shall we answer on the day of judgement when we are sued for not opening the door to those who come knocking in repentance.”

The letter was sent in May of 1981, during the heyday of Rav Shach’s leadership of the Litvish Yeshiva world.
