Manuscript, large “Book Of Rhymes” in middle-Eastern handwriting – rhymes in alphabetical order – exemplar from the library of the Minister of Religion, Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano of Tveriah, Av Beis Din of Tel-Aviv—Jaffa – Morocco, mid 1800’s.


This “rhyme book” is a sort of thesaurus, a list of flowery rhymes in alphabetical order.

At the end, signature and stamp of Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano of Tveriah, Av Beis Din of Tangiers, Cairo, Alexandria, and Tel-Aviv—Jaffa, who also briefly served as Minister of Religion.

234pp. 17cm. Fair condition. Many pages have moth punctures/ Large tears on some pages. Moisture stains on some pages. Old binding with damaged leather spine.
