A long letter of approbation in the handwriting of Maran the Gaavad of Yerushalayim, the immense Gaon Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis. The first known letter to be sent from him after arriving in Yerushalayim. 1st of Shvat 5698 (January 3rd 1938)

The approbation was given to the Sefer Halacha Berura by Rabbi Avraham Willhelm. Maran Rabbi Bengis writes that it is a great Mitzvah to support the author, and he blesses him with abundant blessings.

As far as is known, this is the first letter the Gaavad wrote after beginning his tenure in that position.
