Passover Hagadda with commentary Shem Mishmuel, by the Tzaddik Rabbi Shmuel of Sochatchov, with a dedication handwritten by the author’s son, Rabbi Chanoch Henich of Sochatchov. Jerusalem, 1948.

The Rebbe writes on the flyleaf:
“a token of thanks for the Divrei Torah which I received from my Rebbe and teacher Rabbi Michoel Shlita of Baltimore. Presented by the son of the author Chanoch Bornstein. Yerushalayim, 7 Cheshvan, 5708 (21 October 1947).”

It is unclear whether the Rebbe gave the gift to his Rebbi, Rabbi Michoel Forschleiger, from the Geonim and Tzaddikim of the Sochatchov chassidim, who lived in Baltimore, or whether it was given to someone who just passed along Divrei Torah from him.

A few wine stains from using the Haggadah during the Seder, especially in the pages of Bntching.

138pp. Complete. Slight age and wine stains. Original, complete binding. Good-very good condition.
