Three letters of recommendation from various Rabbis, including the Gaon Rabbi Tzvi Pesach Frank, regarding the elections for the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, in 1944.


Three separate pages, each one in support of one of the candidates, and signed by various Gedolim of Yerushalayim.

The candidates are Rabbi Eliyahu Mordechai Wolkowsky Halevi, Rabbi Yosef Mordechai Halevi, and Rabbi Yeuda Hakohen Shako. All three Rabbis were elected as members of the Rabbinate and went on to issue righteous judgments.

Leading the supporters, Maran the immense Gaon Rabbi Tzvi Pesach Frank author of ‘Har Tzvi’, as well as the Dayan Rabbi Ovadya Hedeya. Also signing are the Geonim Rabbi Chezkiya Shabtai, Rabbi Avraham Leib Silberman, Rabbi Yaakov Kalmas, Rabbi Amram Aburabia, Rabbi Chananya Gavriel, Rabbi Yaakov Baruch and more.
