Manuscript by Rabbi Amram Blau, head and leader of Neturei Karta, regarding the severity of the Halachic prohibition against voting for the apostate government. Undated.

The long manuscript, on the opposite side of a printed stencil, is difficult to read. It was published in his Sefer “Hamalchus Tehapech Leminut” (Government will turn apostate), in the chapter dealing with participating in the elections.

Head of Neturei Karta, Rabbi Amram Blau, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Shlomo (1900–1974) was known for his zealotry to the word of Hashem and for the many protests and demonstrations for the sanctity of Shabbos, Kashrus, Tznius, and more, which he initiated and supported. Founded the “Society of Life” later renamed “Neturei Karta”. As leader of “Neturei Karta” he led a policy of uncompromising separatism. Did not recognize the validity of the State of Israel, refused to accept any government funds, and more. Was also famous for arranging raging demontrations against desecration of Shabbos, the opening of a mixed-gender swimming pool in Yerushalayim, autopsies, etc. In most of these demonstrations he was arrested or beaten.

[1] printed stencil page handwritten on the opposite side. Age stains. Difficult to read due to bleedthrough. Good condition.
